FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENTS

Information about the FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENTS (TFFBA & FBA):

  1. The FUNCTIONAL BEHAVIOR ASSESSMENTS provide text, drop-down, multiselect list boxes and checkboxes to capture the elements of a thorough Trauma-Focused FBA or Standard FBA. In terms of Functions, there is an expanded concept of Preservation of Self. This translates into Resistence to Change.
  2. You can add your own Comment.
  3. Generates a Report for PrintOut.
  4. The Trauma-Focused Functional Behavior Assessment (TFFBA) and the standard Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) are based on the Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence (ABC) Model. The Antecedent is bifurcated into the Setting Event (the stage, state of mind, circumstances, phenomenological field within which the student presents to school) and the Antecedent itself (what happened just prior to the identified behavior). The Behavioral Response and Consequence Strategies follow which inform its underlying Function or need (Avoidance/Escape, Attention/Recognition/Validation, Gain/Access, and Preservation of Self). Also includes a systematic Classroom Behavior Observation Form. Specifics in terms of Why, How, Where, With Whom, When, When Not, And What? Escaping, Avoiding, Getting, Or Preserving from the behavior are addressed through individual items that can be endorsed in their respective categories.
